Orpheus Animal Protective Association’s work is diversified:

We have a shelter for ownerless dogs; our work is to collect them from the streets. We have a socializing program for dogs living in the shelter, which means to improve their physical and mental health, to have a better chance to find a new home. And of course, we have an adoption program.:) We fight for the abolition of flaying houses in Hungary, and their conversion into animal-friendly shelters. We launched a program called Animal Police, which is designed to stop animal cruelty, and to defend animal rights. We popularize the notion of responsible animal ownership.

With this website, we would create a place for international colloquy in the topic of animals (from animal keeping to animal rights). We would like to know your stories! How about animal protection in your country? What about animal rights? Farm animals? Wildlife? Responsible ownership? Endangered species? Shelters?
